Pig brain mist makes people sick

By Debra Durham • Feb 9th, 2008 • Category: News

The thought of pig brain mist and the processes that result in said mist make me want to throw up, but that’s not what I’m writing about here. Turns out that people who breathe pig brain mist can become sick; many such workers have developed a neurological condition.

Apparently some people’s jobs are to blast out pig brains with high-powered air hoses. (I know. It doesn’t even sound real.) The fine mist of pig brain in the air that is caused by this procedure and then breathed by the workers appears to be linked with a debilitating condition.

From reading this account in NewScientist or the other news coverage you’d think they were talking about removing a lugnut from a widget, rather than “blasting” the brain from a pig.
